Scientific and practical activity

 

The monitoring includes:

– calculation and analysis of the distribution dynamics for developed reserves (discovered fields) of oil, gas, condensate by categories: A, В₁, В₂, С₁, С₂ for various oil and gas reservoirs within the territory of Autonomous Okrug;
– calculation and analysis of the distribution dynamics of positive and localized hydrocarbon resources by categoriesD₀ and D_л on oil and gas reservoirs;
– analysis of the efficiency of prospect drilling and confirmation of local objects (traps) resources;
– conducting of annual balance of reserves and positive hydrocarbon resources in the territory of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra with the division into allocated and unallocated subsoil funds and certain companies;
– calculation and analysis of the structure dynamics of total initial resources of oil, gas and condensate for various oil and gas reservoirs of the Yugra territory and their distribution by groups and categories of reserves and resources;
– calculation of the distribution of developed reserves, positive, localized, prospective (D₁) and predicted (D₂) resources for deposits of various sizes for oil and gas reservoirs within the oil and gas fields and in the whole territory of the Autonomous Okrug.

For planning and identification of reference direction for geological and exploration activities in the territory of unallocated subsoil fund, as well as on the territory of activity of companies – subsoil users in the allocated subsoil fund with those tasks of forming the main objects of licensing is assessing the structure of the resource base of certain fields or areas within these territories.

«V.I. Shpilman Research and Analytical Centre for the Rational Use of the Subsoil» is the indispensable participant of the recalculation of total initial hydrocarbon resources (HC) in the territory of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra, which is organized and funded by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation every 8-10 years on a Russian scale. However, «V.I. Shpilman Research and Analytical Centre for the Rational Use of the Subsoil» regularly carries out efficient updating of initial total hydrocarbon resources estimates of various oil and gas reservoirs within the performance of other research contracts for both federal and region Government as well as oil companies interested in developing their resource base.

Produced resource assessment and analysis of the structure dynamics of resources is done using information about reserves and resources of each deposit, each local object, estimation object and oil and gas reservoir, which accumulates, is constantly updated and supplemented in the integrated database of “V.I.Shpilman Research and Analytical Centre for the Rational Use of the Subsoil”.
